So I think I want to perhaps update slightly more regularly...

It's now just over 2 months after the fire, and I'm doing pretty good. I went to the site a few days ago to look through what they'd recovered from the rubble. I found my laptop bag, empty save for a foodsafe certificate and a notepad with a few pages from last summer. I ditched everything but the few pages in a dumpster. Memories are worth more than a smoke-tainted damaged laptop bag, I think. That whole incident was a little depressing, but overall I'm recovering pretty decently.

Artistically not a whole lot is happening. Once I get my car in insurable shape I'll be doing a photo-series involving the oil refineries that ring the city, there are some interesting possibilities there, as well as the numerous train-yards. I'm also looking to get into stenciling graffiti, I've picked up origami again, and I'm learning the art of the Bonsai, which is a mostly just a crazy amount of patience, something I'm not terribly good at.
